Summer 2010 catwalk’s have seen the rise of the fringe trend yet again. Pocohontas versus western styles have flooded the catwalks and are now becoming available in many high street stores, most styles are wearable in the form of tassels hanging loosely from bags, tops and flapper dresses or fringed-edging on footwear and bags.
The fringing trend for this summer season has been combined with the continuing tribal trend which is also an up and coming summer 2010 trend. Combining these looks creates a safari/western look adding a mixture of different styles within the fringing trend.
Personally, I am really happy to see the return of the fringe within high street stores as well as on the catwalks creating a stylish look. The way the tassles move can be seen as fun as well as seductive adding a creative effect as well as being easy to wear and mix with other current trends.
